Position Summary

We are in search of an Accountant at Wholesum in Arizona, dedicated to delivering daily financial support to the Accounting department. Under the guidance of the Director of Corporate Finance, the Accountant will actively participate in cross-training initiatives with staff accountants and the Director. This involvement is designed to support diverse accounting functions, cultivating a deeper understanding of Wholesum’s business practices, systems, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

Cross-Training Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

General Accounting Functions

  • Cost Accounting
  • General Ledger entries analysis
  • Journal entries
  • Month-End and Year-End
  • Create Common Service Invoice
  • Run Non-Field Process daily
  • Job Management in BC
  • Assist Director of Finance with bank requests
  • Assist Director of Finance with annual Insurance renewal
  • Assist Director of Finance with Year-End process and requests from CPAs

Preparation of Financial Statements and non-standard accounting reports

  • Cash Flow
  • Profit and Loss Statement
  • Balance Sheet
  • Item Margin Report
  • Budgets
  • Other reports as needed

Team Support

  • Grower Accounting Support
  • Payroll Support
  • Accounts Payable Support and Banking
  • Accounts Receivable Support
  • Inventory Support
  • Audit Report Preparation

Other administrative duties may be assigned.

Minimum Experience/Qualifications

  • Detail oriented
  • Organization, prioritizing and planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with excellent time management skills.

Education and Experience

  • Two years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent of Wholesum accounting experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient use of MS Office Products, intermediate to advanced Excel skills a must (will be tested)
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Moderate to above moderate levels of English and Spanish writing, speaking, and reading comprehension; active listening.
