Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting inspections and evaluations throughout all stages of production from greenhouse operations to final packaging in the packhouse. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with product quality standards, food safety regulations, and workplace safety protocols, while also contributing to training initiatives and research and development efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality inspections in the greenhouse and packhouse

  • Verify compliance with internal and customer quality standards

  • Monitor and document harvesting, packing, labeling, and overall product quality

  • Conduct food safety and labor safety walkthroughs and report findings

  • Assist in preparing for internal and third-party audits (e.g., Organic, Fair Trade)

  • Support the development of training materials and safety communications

  • Collaborate with R&D on trial inspections and product improvement feedback

Minimum Experience/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in quality assurance, food science, or related field is a plus. 
  • Experience in quality control, food production, or agricultural operations preferred. 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent observation and documentation skills. 
  • Knowledge of food safety and labor safety regulations is an asset. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Comfortable using basic digital tools for content creation (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, video editing software). 
  • Communication skills and ability to support training activities for personnel, including onboarding and ongoing refresher sessions.
